Medium Gauge Steel Coil Slitting Line (0.6-6 X 1600)

Medium gauge Steel Coil sheet slitting line mainly for coil steel sheets of 3 to 8mm thickness, Coil sheet material can be hot rolled (HR, HRC, HRS), cold rolled (CR, CRC, CRS), Galvanized sheet (GI) or Stainless Steel sheet (SUS, STS, SS) below 6mm. Coil sheet width range vary from 1250mm, 1500mm, 1600mm, 1800mm, 2000mm, it depends on customer coming coil materials.

Characters:

1.  Medium gauge Slitting line requires machines strong and precise, the sheet metal thickness two or three times of thin gauge sheet, this means machine structure will be proportionally strong, meanwhile the cutting precision is the same level as thin sheet (+/-0.10mm)
2. the slitting speed usually is fast (50-120m/min) for different thickness sheet slitting, generally proportional to sheet gauge, the thinner speed higher, the thicker speed lower.
3. Medium sheet tension station either the same as thin sheets, taking use of felt pads or rollers type, tension is adjustable.
4. Recoiler separator either overarm type or portal frame type, parallel pressing down over recoil mandrel with coiling diameter increasing, the pressing pressure is adjustable.
5. Uncoiler usually double mandrel type for heavy load metal coils.
6. Scrap winder is heavy load, each side one winder, either drum type or center support type.
